Painters, jewelers, sculptors and other artisans will be gathering on Mother’s Day weekend at Alamo Plaza Shopping Center for the annual "Alamo Jewelry, Fine Art and Craft Show".
This popular two-day event will be held Saturday, and Sunday, May 13 & 14 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
This year’s show features local and regional artists exhibiting original works of art including paintings, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, fiber art, glass, woodwork, mixed media, photography and more.
The fine photography of Locke Heemstra represents the exceptional quality of artistry presented at the Alamo festival. As a professional photographer Locke has traveled the world collecting exceptional images. He has participated in juried art shows throughout California and the western states for over 25 years. His work has been purchased in both public and private collections and has received numerous awards.
Sherrie Tatum joins an incredible selection of jewelers at this year's festival. Sherrie has been designing one of a kind hand fabricated sterling silver jewelry ,since 1982. Her one of a kind pieces, offset silver designs with semi- precious stones and unique inlays. Her colorized copper pieces have won best of show awards.
"This celebration of Art offers a great opportunity for art lovers to meet with and purchase directly from some of the West Coast's most talented artists and artisans," said festival director John Holland.
To reach the Alamo Plaza take the Stone Valley Rd.West Exit from Hwy. 680, then turn right 1 block on Danville Blvd.
Admission to the festival is free.
